Daniel called beforehand (as had been planned several days before) and arrived on time. He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He efficiently did the tune-up required and installed a code pad. He could have charged me for three remotes but pointed out that I did not need them. He showed his knowledge of his trade by identifying the age and make of the 1980s chain and pulley installed in our basement. All in all, a very satisfactory and relatively inexpensive service.

10/15/18 Overheard Door of Atlanta responded quickly when one spring broke on my double garage door. Even with your wife helping, try lifting a double door sometime to get your cars out. Our outdoor keypad stopped working. After several rounds of owner problem determination, it appeared a replacement was due. We called Overhead door and after learning the cost of a visit would pretty much cover a tuneup which we had not had in a few years, we opted to sign up for that and they threw in the new keypad as well. The service technician was to our house in less than 2 ours of making the initial call and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He had the door fixed within 45 minuets allowing for us to get the cars our of the garage and st ill get to work by mid morning. The repair price was reasonable, and an overall great experience. I would strongly recommend to anyone needing garage door service.

I scheduled a Saturday online yesterday as it was open so I figured it could be hit or miss. They were running behind but called around 4:00 to apologize for missing 10:00 to 12:00pm. We were here and they were close by. Casey was our tech. He was very nice and serviced the double door, tightened the spring, adjusted cables, greased everything and tightened all screws and bolts for a reasonable price. They’re the best.

Had Tech Rep stop to look at door bottom seal. Also our old door had broken & temporarily fixed by someone else who never came back. Ended up purchasing a new door. Install Rep was very nice explained what he was going to be doing & why, arrived on time after alerting me with a phone call. The new door is much quieter and I am very pleased with the product and the service of Overhead Door.

My post-service survey response is below. I strongly recommend this as the first and only place to call for garage door repair in and around Atlanta (I live in Marietta).”In all fairness, I have put off setting up a garage door appointment for about a month out of a combination of price concerns and fear of a horrible experience. In my head, I was signing up for something that would likely feel “sales-y” and probably end up costing an arm and a leg. It would have been impossible for me to be more wrong.Erik was awesome. He called before showing up to give an estimated arrival time and was spot on, dressed professionally and very polite. He thoroughly assessed the situation before beginning any work – asking clarifying questions and really illustrating that he wanted to understand the issues I’d experienced with the doors. After getting a solid understanding of where I was at, he walked me through the possible causes as he checked them out. He is very knowledgeable and was able to explain the things he was checking and seeing using plain language, making sure I understood. When he found the issues, he discussed the plan with me and the approximate costs – explaining why each piece was important and how it would help get my doors working properly. After the initial issue was fixed, he advised me that the rollers were wearing down and may need to be replaced soon. He explained how the new rollers would be better than the ones on there now and showed me where the existing ones were starting to wobble and thin out. This did not feel like an “upsell” at all – there was no pressure to “act now or your doors will fall off”. I decided to replace the rollers on both doors to prevent having trouble down the road. I felt very comfortable in that interaction and, had the cost been more than I was comfortable with, I don’t feel like me declining the work would have turned in to a “big deal”. It likely would have resulted in Erik explaining what to look for so I’d know when I really needed to have it done. Even with the extra elements added on, Erik worked quickly and very cleanly. When he was done, he showed me the new elements in place and went through some very helpful maintenance information. He left the doors spotless (no grease, fingerprints, etc.) and the garage area clean (no bags or trash, etc.). His estimates on costs were as accurate as his arrival estimate. I had, in the back of my mind, assumed there would be some “taxes and fees”-type inflation to the estimate, but there was absolutely none. He had quoted me fair prices for good work and his quote matched the bill – I wish this was the case with the other companies I’ve used for other repairs around the house!I was extremely impressed with Erik’s professionalism, courteousness, knowledge, workmanship, and his ability to make something I know nothing about become very approachable and easy-to-understand. Based on his performance today, I’ll be submitting a recommendation for Overhead Door to be added to my HOA’s “Testimonials” page.I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Please award any accolades or recognition you can to Erik and also please pass along my thanks to the leadership team for hiring such great people. It’s clear to me that customer service is very important to Overhead Door. Erik never said that outright, but he made me believe it without a single doubt. Outstanding job!”

i bought a brand new car today, drove it home into my garage and the door broke with the car inside. I called this company about 2:30 p.m. today and they had a gentleman, Daniel, out to my house in under an hour. It took Daniel all of 15 minutes to replace my torsion spring and I was back in business! I envisioned having to wait several days just to get someone out to my house. I cannot overstate how pleased I am with this company’s awesome service! I strongly recommend giving them an opportunity to earn your business.

It was a bit over OUR budget but You get WHAT YOU pay for!! We absolutely loved OUR new garage doors. It was totally worth the 3 weeks or so wait. Excellent service from sale to installation! The grey color that was selected wasn’t dull. The grey has a kinda shine to them. The frickin openers are sooo quite!! I must say we have the BEST looking garage doors on ours street! Maybe the entire subdivision … LOL!

Broken spring first brought OHDAtl to our home. After that quick and efficient repair, we discovered the next day that a power surge had also fried the circuit board in the main unit. Called OHD again; Randy S. responded again and on the same day. New unit was installed, clickers and outside keypad reprogrammed and garage floor blown off in less than 1 hour. Randy gave a quick (but complete) overview of workings of machinery and warranty. Cost was very reasonable and Randy was incredible. I was hearing metal noises whenever I opened my garage door, so I called the Overhead Door Company of Atlanta. Overhead Door sent a tech out within 48 hrs, and the tech who arrived was great at observing small details, he discovered that the track bolts were loose and had to tighten all the bolts, thus the noise went away. I strongly recommend technician Eddie Jensen with Overhead Door Company, he’s customer focused, on time, and excited about his job.

I can’t recommend Overhead Door and Randy S. The day, I thought was going to be gone, garage not opening on a weekend. Doubtful any company would be available to help me out. Reached out to a neighbor that recommended Overhead Door. Arrived in the window, professional and explained all my options. Yes, I could have waited longer for original parts to come in but who wants to deal with the hassle. Randy asked several times at the end if I had anything else that needed to be done (remotes, etc). He also explained to me when to lubricate the hinges and spring. I can’t tell you how great Randy S was and my experience. Thank you!

we had problems with our garage door opener, called the home warranty company and they did a horrible job, called the Overheaddoor of Atlanta, they came in early on a Sunday morning, inspected the door and opener, suggested a couple of solutions and We went ahead and ordered the odyssey 1000 and had it installed by them right on the spot.We had a wonderful experience, the tech was very nice and knew very well what he was doing, the process was quick and easy and the opener is quiet. GREAT experience with this company! Our garage door stopped working last night with one of our cars inside it. I called Overhead Door at 8 the following morning, spoke with Kathy Moylan, who walked us through evaluating what the problem was, told us NOT to try to manually open the door as that would be dangerous, and set us up for a morning appointment. Within 20 minutes, I heard from Randy Strickland, a service technician, who said he’d be at our house in the next 15 minutes. An hour later the door was repaired – it needed new coils, the whole system was cleaned up and lubricated, and my car electronics were connected to the door eliminating the need for the electronic clicker. Randy and Kathy couldn’t have been nicer and more professional. Obviously, I highly recommend Overhead Door of Atlanta!

I only gave a 4 out of 5 because there is always room for improvement. Matthew R., the tech came out to service my garage a few weeks ago. He arrived in a timely manner, which was much quicker than I expected. My older system stopped working and Matthew R. was able to install a new one very quickly. He answered every question I had and was able to get the answer for the few he was unsure of. Best service I could have ever asked for! They sent a tech out within 2 hours of my contacting my Home Warranty company for the issue. The tech arrived during a severe weather event, which was WAY above and beyond. He was in and out within 20 minutes. He diagnosed the issue, changed the key pad, reprogrammed, and added fresh batteries to everything in record time. He was kind and professional. Randy gave me a complete rundown of what he would have to do to fix the door. He also provided a few options for saving some money as well.
