Annual Employee Breakfast and Truck Wash
The Team Impact group at Overhead Door Company of Atlanta held its Annual Employee Breakfast and Truck Wash in May. The breakfast is held each year with a two-fold purpose. Firstly, to honor one of our former comrades, Edgar Rieffel, who served the Company as a commercial installer. Secondly to thank field personnel for their hard work and continued dedication.
Annual Employee Breakfast
This year’s Top Chef was Chuck Newcity, Aftermarket Sales Representative, along with additional volunteer chefs and servers. The menu featured pancakes, bacon, sausage, cheese grits, sausage gravy and biscuits.
Along with breakfast, the Company invited the mobile boot truck to attend. The boot truck has become a convenient way for for field and warehouse personnel to purchase safety boots for work. This year, employees purchased 85 pairs of boots! That doubles last year’s figures!
Volunteer Truck Wash
Of course, the highlight of the day was the truck wash. Senior management, as well as managers from each department, volunteered to wash the field trucks. The wash started at 6:00 AM; about one hour before sunrise. Special guest Jackson Rieffel, Edgar’s five year old son, took the initiative to spray down the volunteers with water hoses at the end of the festivities.
Overhead Door Company of Atlanta thanks everyone who participated in the annual event. The event served close to 250 well-deserving employees.
