From French Doors to Garage Door
You read that right. Although the more common renovation may be the reverse, the homeowner for this Atlanta residence updated from French entry doors to a new, insulated garage door.
The home used to be a model home for the neighborhood, which is why it had French doors instead of a garage door. The present owner wanted a garage space where he could pull import vehicles in to work on them, and contacted Overhead Door Company of Atlanta to help.
Our team installed a Thermacore® Model 494 garage door, which has the maximum polyurethane insulation with an R-value of 17.5. The new insulated garage door will provide the homeowner with a comfortable environment for tinkering with his beloved imports.
What is R-value?
R-Value is a measure of thermal efficiency. The higher the R-value the greater the insulating properties of the door. Overhead Door Corporation uses a calculated door section R-value for our insulated doors. We have several door styles to meet your insulated door needs for both residential and commercial applications.
