Successful Run Like a Warrior 5K for Westafer Family
On Sunday, May 22, 2016, Overhead Door Company participated in the Run Like A Warrior 5K for Chandra and Andy Westafer. Andy is an Overhead Door Company of Atlanta employee whose wife was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2015, just hours before they welcomed their first baby into their lives.
Representatives for Overhead Door Company of Atlanta included (left to right); Paul Nelson, Maurice Holmes, Jamie Taylor and Carson, Shane Krekemeyer, Joseph Petitone, Andy Westafer, Chandra Westafer and baby, Martin Ruffing, Kathy Boylen, Ashley Miller, Josh and Keenan Knowles (not pictured). Martin Ruffing and Joseph Petitone were both awarded 1st place winners for their division.
It was a beautiful day with over 80 runners and walkers. The organization raised just over $3000 for the Westafer family, including but not limited to a Overhead Door Company of Atlanta sponsorship from Team Impact, which is an internal group that empowers local employees to be involved with volunteerism and charitable activities.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the race and those who donated to this cause. On behalf of the Overhead Door Company of Atlanta and all it’s employees, we wish Andy and Chandra all the best with her recovery and continued health.
